The new Mercers Institute for Successful Ageing (MISA) at St. James’s Hospital  combines research, education and practical training in all aspects of health, policy and social care of the older people and will have the full range of treatment, diagnostic, medical, social and general service departments.

The building is a new seven storey structure with 116 new single inpatient rooms; with outpatient therapy and support spaces, with a new dedicated entrance directly off the Fatima Luas stop at St James’s.

OCMA were appointed as Architects to BAM Contractor’s team which won the design and build competition for the project in 2014  The building commenced on site in early 2014 and is due to be completed in January 2016.
