Sean Mahon Elected as RIAI President for 2024-2025

We are extremely proud to announce the election of our Managing Director, Sean Mahon FRIAI, as the new President of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) for the term 2024-2025.

Sean brings over 30 years of experience within the RIAI, having previously served as Vice-President and chaired the workgroup responsible for developing the RIAI Strategy 2023-2027. His career spans various areas including education, practice, and architecture.

Reflecting on his election, Sean commented, “I am honoured and deeply grateful to the RIAI members for their faith and trust in me to serve as President for the next two years. I am committed to upholding the high standards set by my predecessors. I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues to champion architecture and its profound cultural, social, environmental, and economic impact on society. Architects play a crucial role in delivering quality, sustainable, and resilient solutions for future spaces and built environments.”
