Within OCMA Victoria is a leader in the area of research and education, providing support to colleagues while leading by example. Victoria believes that quality design and architecture are fundamentally linked to lifelong learning. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Law and Contract Administration from Trinity College Dublin and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Victoria spent several years lecturing in the Architectural Design Studio at TUD and is an external examiner for the Professional Diploma in Architectural Practice at TUD.
Victoria is also involved in an ongoing research collaboration on dementia inclusive design with Trinity College Dublin’s Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering – Trinity Haus. She is co-author of a number of publications including the 2018 Dementia Friendly Hospitals from a Universal Design Approach design guidelines which have been approved by the WHO for their Global Dementia Observatory Knowledge Exchange Platform.
Victoria’s primary and enduring focus is on Architecture and in particular, design for health and well-being. Her dedication to delivering high quality, person-centred buildings can be seen in her involvement in projects such as the New Day Ward at the Bon Secours Glasnevin, the Munster Surgical Hubs and the National Maternity Hospital.
